Hall/Moir

I am searching for the family of Francis Hall b. 19 May 1829 in Clackmannan, son of James Hall and Christian Moir. Francis was a shoemaker in Clackmannan and subsequently Tillicoultry. Abt 1855 he immigrated to Canada. I have his Canadian history, can anyone help me with the period before he left Scotland?

There have been numerous errors concerning Francis Hall(b. 19 May 1829 Clackmannan) being the son of James Hall and Christian Moir. Evidence now points towards him being the son of JOHN and MARGARET HALL. Margaret's maiden name may have been Thomson. John was born 1797 Clackmannan to Thomas Hall and Jane Malcolm. John died in 1860 and the informant on his Death Certificate was his son who was also named John. Francis had relocated to Salsburg, Lanarkshire prior to immigrating to Canada in 1854. Another sibling may have been Robert Bruce Hall who relocated and settled in Durham, England. Anyone have knowledge of this Clackmannan family? (reference my posting Hall/Moir dated September 04, 2000).

Christian Moir was married to Thomas Hall (my direct line) they had a son Francis born 1830 who died in Morris City Grundy County Illinois.
Francis Hall 1810 parents Thomas Hall and Jean Malcolm - He married Mary ? and had the following children Janet 1834, Thomas 1836, Davie 1838, Jane 1840.
1841 census at Clackmannshire - as a bootmaker - also listed were (apart from his wife and children) a Charles Pollock (shoemaker/journeyman) and Margaret Stewart (female servant)
I do not have anything after the 1841 census so would be interested in any information you have
