I think that my GGGgrandmother Anne Plowman was born in 1771 to George Plowman of Wick and Christian Miller/Miller of Watten Parish (Ruther) - the latter couple married in 1769.
Anne Plowman married William Thomson who was the miller at Skaill House in Sandwick Orkney in the late 1700s/early 1800s. She appears to have been a second wife who had two children with W.T. - Alexander Watt Thomson and Ann Watt Thomson. She was widowed by 1821 and operating a school in Gorn, Sandwick. Education records reveal that she was educated in Wick, Caithness. Can anyone shed light on 'my' Anne and her family?
