John Mowat

I am looking for information on John Mowat DOB 4 Nov 1784 in Old Machar, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. I have found his father to be Alexander Mowat, but I have no dates for him. I also have no idea who his mother was. I assume she died during childbirth. It may have been later than that because John came to Canada with his dad when he was 12yrs old.
He married Ann Irvine on 8 May 1820. Her DOB is 1 Sept 1786 in New Deer, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
I have that they only had one son. John L Mowat DOB 29 June 1821.

Did Alex and his wife any any other children?

I would also like to know if Ann had any siblings and her year of death? She died in Scotland so John came to Canada. Ann's parents were Alexander Irvine and Mary Gordon

This board is kind of my last hope. If I don't find anything here I am going to have to take a trip to Scotland!
