William (Henry Fleming) milne died at Crinkle (Birr Barracks Co. Offaly, Ireland). He was burried in Crinkle millitary cemetry on 3rd January 1883. He was 35yrs old at death (1848(?)-1883). He was a lance sargeant in the Leinster Regiment. He is believed to have come orinally from Scotland. He joined the 96th Regiment at Belfast Ireland in May/june 1866 and then went to india where he subsequently joined the 109th regiment in 1873. He come back to Britain and on to Ireland circa 1879/1880?. In November 1880 He married a local woman by name of Anne Whelan or Phelan. He had two sons. one son died in 1909 at 26yrs and the other at 66yrs(?)in 1947. His wife died 1937. It is believed there is a connection with the name chystal/crystal/cystel and Kippen Village or surrounds in Stirling, Scotland. His mother may have been a fleming or a chrystal/
Cystal/Crystel or his aunt or his sister may have married a chystal/cystal/crystel any help would be greatly appreciated.
