My 5x great grandfather has only one beginning root in America and that is when he signed in to the Revolutionary War. He states his name was Daniel St. Clair and ended up being a drummer boy. He said he was 12 years old. He was born March 17, 1759 in Scotland. He never mentions any parents nor any siblings, nor are there any found in any records that followed him after the Revolutionary War Therefore it is difficult to try and trace him before coming to America. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
