McCullagh/Scott in Cootehill

Researching the McCullagh/Scott surname in County Cavan. My gg-grandparents:
John James McCullagh born in 1832 & Matilda Scott born in 1833, were married in Shercock on Jan. 18, 1855. Soon after they emigrated to Ontario, Canada where the surname changed to McCullough.
