My ancestor was Robert Purdy who came from Dacre Street ,Morpeth England.He was born in 1820)s & went to Newcastle upon Tyne as superintendent of Elswick Cemetery. his son also Robert Purdy was drowned at sea .my grandfather was also Robert Purdy.I am most anxious to trace back beyond the 1820's & would be most grateful for any information someone may have.
