I am searching for any information on John Smithson from Northumberland born abt 1675.
This John Smithson moved to the United States and married a woman named Elizabeth?? about 1704 in Louisa County Virginia United States. I am having
great difficulty finding information about this John. I would appreciate any and all help.

Have you looked at Family Search. This is an Ancestral File and a Pedigree Resource File for a John SMITHSON.
Some searches say Northumberland, although I have never come across a Skelton there. Another says Skelton, Cumberland.
It says he was married in Barnard Castle, DUR and there is a baptism of a John there, about the right time.
