My grandfather was a William James MITCHELL b. 19th Oct. 1882 in North Shields. m. Elizabeth Ann DIXON in Tynemouth ,1904 . Don't know what happened to him after my grandmother left . His parents were Robert MITCHELL baptised 1832 in Bermondsey and Mary Jane ELLIS b. North Shields in 1844 -parents George ELLIS, mariner b. 1804 and Jane nee WELDON b. 1809 .Robert and Mary Jane had Jane Ellen b. 1864 who m. a CHATER & had Ellen CHATER 7 on 1891 N. Shields census and a Mary Jane CHATER aged 6.Robert MITCHELL b. 1865 a fireman on 1891 census m. to Annie nee McCOY had a Mary Ann aged 18 mos. in 1891.George ELllis MITCHELL b. 1867 d. 1927.Jane WELDON's parents were a Henry and Mary nee DIXON.Any info. on any of these families greatly appreciated .
