I am trying to find where my gr. gr. grandfather WIlliam Paton was born. He was born in 1844 but I have no idea where. The info that i do have was in the 1881 census his wife was Margaret Donoghue and she was head of house as he was an engineer at sea. They lived in Liverpool at that time. All the children were christened in Liverpool as well. Anybody have any ideas?
