I would like some info on the STEEL WIREWORKS at FIGHTING COCKS, DARLINGTON please.
Ive recentley discovered that my g/g/uncle Luke Davidson worked there until his death in 1900. Apparently he commited sucicde and his story got into the Northern Echo calling it a Darlington Love Tragedy. He drowned in the brickyard pond. The story reads a very sad one. Im interested in the place where he worked and whether there is any info that I can get. I live in Wiltshire so I cant pop down to the library so if someone would be kind enough to help I'd be very grateful.
