Stewart and Earl

I am trying to trace the marriage of Robert Stewart and Margaret Earl prior to 1904. They were the parents of my grandmother, Caroline Stewart, born in 1904 in - it says on the cert - Royal Oak, Heighington.
Is Royal Oak a place? Or was it a Public House?
I cannot trace their marriage or more details of their address.
Any advice would be welcome. If anyone can do a look up I would be grateful too.
Or any advice as to where I go from here in my search?

Hi, have you checked the 1901 censusfor that area? if Caroline was born 1901 then it would show family and possibly other members! I couldn't find a Royal Oak in Heighington so yes it could of been a pub but its worth getting hold of an ordanance survey map and search for local history of that area.
Have you checked www.familysearch.org and www.1837online.com they are both good sites for searching. I had a quick look but had no joy. sorry if I couldn't help more but if you do find more info you need help with your welcome to get in touch
regards
Debbie
