Maughan

My grandfather Robert Maughan born 16 May 1835 in Durham (Auckland?)married Ann Richardson in 1859 in Bedlington Northd. she died and he then married
an Emily ?? from Norfolk. I have no further information and wonder who are my Gr/grandparents?
Please can anyone help. This would be much appreciated.

I saw your posting on Maughan and it sparked an interest as I have Maughan's in my tree at Bellingham.
I searched the national index of the 1881 Census for Robert Maughan, born 1835, and suprisingly it came up with only 1 .
