James H. Queen migrated to Edgerton,Williams Co. Ohio by 1860 and at age 25 he married Cartherine Harker. In 1861 James H. Queen enlisted for military service in the 14th Ohio Vol. Inf. during the American Civil War. He was later transfered to the 38th Ohio Inf. where he served as a Leautenant Co. A. He ended the war as a Captain with Co. I, 10th Tennesse Vol. Inf. (Union)He is buried in Denver, Colorado after dying in Oct. of 1900.
