I am looking for information on my 5th greatgrandfather Thomas Priestman b. c. 1769. He went to the US then Canada and by 1830s was writing letters to siblings in Little Broughton and other cities in N. England. His sister was Jane Priestman who married Joseph Hall of Alston and Wigton, Cumberland. Some of Thomas's were printed in a book Scratching Along Amongst the STumps..Letters from Thomas Priestman, a settler in Niagara... I am interested in any information about the family, especially Thomas' parents and siblings. My cousin had a picture of a manor house that he said was the Priestman House, but I'm not sure of the location. Thomas' second wife was Ann Scott.
