Hello,
I am looking for any information on Morris Lewis, who came to America around 1717 and died in PA in 1729. He was probably born around 1685 or so.
He had a wife, Dorothy (James?), a son, Henry (1716-1797), and two daughters, Mary and Martha,all born in Wales.
He also had a brother named Henry. This family was Baptist, and the story goes that the brother, Henry, got into trouble with the official church and had to flee to America. Morris came with him. They resided in Hilltownship, Bucks County, PA.
I can find no information about when he arrived or what part of Wales he was from, although most clues point to Carmarthen.
Any ideas about where to look next would be most appreciated.
