John Pawson, 1737-1806, early Methodist minister

Does anyone have any information on Rev. John Pawson. According to information I have he was a relation of my 3-g-grandfather, William Pawson, born 30 Oct 1788 in Farnley, Yorkshire, England.
Rev. John Pawson was born 12 Nov 1737, Thorner, near Leeds, Yorkshire. He was a friend of John Wesley and was well known in early Methodism. He died 23 March 1806. I have read several autobiographical accounts of his conversion from the Anglican faith to Methodism in which he describes the adverse reaction of his parents to this change. However, he does not give the names of his parents or any siblings. Apparently he was married twice with no surviving children. Therefore, I assume, any relation to later Pawson families would have to be through siblings or aunts, uncles, etc.
Does anyone know anything more about this man and relations to later Pawson generations?
Thanks
