Hello, I am new to this board.
I researching on my grandfather George Frederick Archer. I do not have very much information on him except for the following:
He was born near Sherwood Forest England.
He was in the Army for Britain and was sent to Inda,where he may have been injured. He may have also been sent to Ireland where he met and married my grandmother.
My grandmother is Sarah Jane McNulty, b. 1, November 1886 in NewtoHamilton, County Armagh Ireland. They got married in a Belfast Protestant Catheral or church. The date is unknown.
They move to Liverpool England where they had children, the first child being born around 1920 Evan Archer, Phyliss Archer (McDermott, married name), Jack Archer, and last child my mother Margaret Sybil Archer, June 11, 1924.
I also know that he left my grandmother when my mother was young and came to Boston, Mass. My mother remember he was in waiter union in Boston or New York.
