trying to locate willian weston, born 15 feb, 1761(?). no idea where he was from. his story was told in a local history: as a boy of 14 he came to the colonies (boston) on a british man of war as a fifer, about 1775. an uncle convinced him to join the revolution and he signed on with the new jersey militia as a fifer and later enlisted as an infantryman. hoping that someone has a lost william that might fill this description. william married isabella moores in woodbrigde, new jersey and settled in union/vestal/binghamton area of new york state. any info would be greatly welcomed. i do have quite a bit of info on william and his descendants and am happy to share same.
