I am trying to research the Willis and Black families of Lee County(Auburn)Al. My father-in-law is deceased; His name was George A Willis; His father and mother were Arthur & Sally Black Willis. Sally Black always claimed that her father was from Scotland. Her heritage was Afro-American, Caucausian, Indian. Her mother's name was Martha Culp, and her father was Frank Black. Her brother was Frederick Black of Lee County, Al. Her sister was Eva Black Yancey of Atlanta, Ga. All of the above are now deceased.
I would like to find out if my son's father(also deceased)has relatives in Scotland. Sally Black was born in 1896.
