Ceinwen James of Porth

I am searching for information on Ceinwen James born in Porth Glamorgan 1894. Cienwen was the only daughter of David James and Ruth Naomi James formely Griffiths. I have her birth certificate and last known address: Glanwern, 126 North Road Ferndale. Ceinwen lived at this address with her Uncle Gwilym James and his wife Ruth, formerly Williams.

It is believed that she did not marry or have children. The obituary of Gwilym identifies her as still living and present at his funeral (1936).

I was looking for information about the Griffiths family also. My grandmother, Ellen Griffiths, was a nurse during WWI where she met my grandfather, John Mitchell. She had a sister Jemima, and that is all I know other than that she lived in the Boston area from 1920's to her death in 1965(?). I don't know what part of Wales she was from but would like some history about the Griffiths surname, if possible.
