looking for any Rentons.
My connection has a William Renton b abt 1800, marrying (Ann Beattie) on 28 Jul 1820 in Selkirk. (need to find his parents or any other details)
Their children were:
1. Margaret Renton b 29 Jul 1821 (who married George TurnbullO She died 6 Jun 1893 in the Galashiels poorhouse.
2. James Renton christened 24 Sept 1837?
there must have been other children, but can't find any.

Agnes Renton head unmar. age 58 Spinster born Selkirk.

Probably William's sister. No other Rentons in Selkirk.

A William Renton was born 3 March 1799 Selkirk.
Parents Henry Renton and Agnes Caldwalls.

Would have liked a son named Henry but there is space for more children between
Margaret 1821 and Agnes 1827.
