John Hall Sr. - born 1807 in Bowden, Roxburgh.
He died on March 20, 1896 in Douro Township, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
Isabella Johnston - born 1810 in Scotland.
She died 1875 in Smith Township, Ontario, Canada
John Hall's parents:
William Hall - born 1778 in Scotland.
He died 1843 in Smith Township, Ontario.
Christian Tait - born in Scotland, year unknown.
She died 1830, in Smith Township, Ontario, Canada.
At the time of their marriage on March 30, 1799 in Saint Cuthberts, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, William was a member of the 4th Regiment of the North British Militia at Dalkeith, Scotland.
They immigrated to Smith Township with their 4 sons and 3 daughters in 1827, according to "The Illustrated Historical Atlas of Peterborough County"
I would appreciate any advice about further research in Roxburgh and the 4th Regiment at Dalkeith.
