I am new to this site and I hope someone out there can help me with a querie.
I am searching for my Hosie ancesters, I have found them in Neilston in the 1861 census living with their Grandparents, James and Jane Moor. Scotlands People do not give an address for them only a number, to go back to the first census sheet to find an address would be expensive... Ancestry gives them living Neilston with grandparents in poor house, Find My Past says they are living with their grandparents in John Green House in Neilston. What I would like to find out is ...was their a poor house in Neilston and was it called John Green House, if not what was John Green House, Any help would be very much appreciated.
