My g-g-g grandfather, Kenneth McKenzie, was "born near Fort George," and emigrated to N. America--probably on the Hector in 1773. He was a lad at that time, and judging by the names of his first two children, John and Mary, I'm thinking those might be his parents' names as well. (May have come over with Ralston friends.)
If anyone has McKenzie ancestors in the Fort george area in the mid 1700's, I'd love to compare notes.
