I'm new to this site but here goes.
My father Maxwell Owen Fox Chalmers (as stated on his birth certificate) was born in Alloa in 1920 to Margaret Duff Chalmers born 1899, my problem is that my father was illegitimate and my grandmother didn't put who the father was on the birth certificate. Our only clue is the Fox in the name and the fact that there were relatives with the surname of Fox, Margaret's aunty Alice was married to Peter Fox, and they all lived in Alloa from around 1880 to 1930.
I hope there may be someone out there that recognises some of the names, so please contact me as i would like to solve the mystery in our family.
