Melvin

Need family of Daniel Melvin born 1708 Isle of Skye, Scotland. Came to American colonies about 1715 as a cabin boy bring sent to relatives.

I have info on Melville/Melvins of Fife starting with the Barony in early 1100-forward. Do you know any of his ancestry info. I am searching for and alexander Melville/Melvill who married an Elizabeth [Elspeth] Ramsay in Leuchars Parish of Fife around 1630. There was a grandson connected to this family with the name of Daniel. Their son John Melville/Melvin came to the states mid- 1700's. I am trying to connect his ancestry with that of the Barony, there seems to be a bit of a Gap.
