I have traced my family back to Anthony Willan b.1824 who married Margaret Seed in Burneside 20 Jan 1849. And that is as far as I can get the only other info I have is from the 1881 census which has them living at Newby Lodge, Strickland Kettel with children Robert Seed, William Simpsom, Isobella, Margaret Ann. They had another daughter called Mary Hannah but she had married and moved to Manchester, oh and there was a lodger called Anthony Willan. Can anyone help me get further back?
