My research is sending me to a surprise of Westmorland . ..Kendal and Heversham. I'm still awaiting a few marriage certificates from UK, but it appears that my gg grandfather William Brocklebank and his wife Catherine Shaw married in Herversham. They had a few children in Westmorland, and eventually moved to Preston District, Lancashire. Their children married in Preston (Grace, Agnes, Mary, John, James, Robert) and they themselves eventually died in Preston. Yhe Kendal and Heversham family seem to be prior to 1803 . . .any Brocklebanks out there who remained in Westmorland? (Note: I'm also waiting on certificates for Thomas, Ellen, and Ann who may be first cousins or siblings)
