Anxious to hear from anyone with knowledge of our HENSON family. Henry Henson Sr, b. 1843, Loughboro, Leicester m. Eliza Priestley, b. 1839, Sutton, Nottingham. Her father = John Priestley, b. 1811. Henry & Eliza must have resided in Wednesbury, Stafford at one time, as my husband's grandfather, Henry [Harry]Henson, was born there Oct 4, 1870.His 2 siblings were Ernest,b. 1880, who later married Ada ? & Eliza, b. 1867. There were quite possibly other siblings as well. In the 1881 census they lived at 32 Stafford St. with a son-in-law,or step-son John A Allen, 20 & John Priestley. Henry's occupation was listed as a Bessemer Steel Maker, employing 14 men & 2 boys.
HENRY HENSON JR & wife, SELINA MARY WILKINSON, b. Oct. 8, 1872 Bridle Lane, Ripley, Derbyshire, emigrated to Canada 1n 1909 with their 2 sons, Harry, 4 & Ernest, 5 mos., from Sheffield, where he had a confectionery shop.
