I am doing research on the SUMNER family name. My husband's GGrandmother Thirza (TRAFFORD) SUMNER's mother is Caroline ROOBOTHAM, Caroline's father is George and husband is Emanuel TRAFFORD. Thirza married David SUMNER in 1877 in Cannock, Staffs., they had one son, George E. b. 1878 in Cannock, and who came to the USA, time unknown, but am assuming in the early part of the 1900s. Would like to find some information on the ROOBOTHAMs.
