I would like to trace the children of John Tucker and Mary Loxley who were married at Long Ashton.
I have been told that they had 5 children. An Elijah was baptised 13th Feb 1785 and a Joseph 1st Jun 1788 at Kilmersdon. I have been further told that they Changed to Methodism after 1800.
A Mary Tucker and Tabitha Dorcas Tucker both lived at Long Ashton. I am descended from Mary Tucker. She married Abraham Barnes in 1773. Tabitha married at the age of 72 to a 90yr old by the name of Thomas Millard gent in 1823 at St Mary Redcliffe. Both ladies left Wills which I only found out about by using the PRO site. I am now looking for a Sarah Tucker spinster of Reading Berkshire who was left the sum of £50 in 1832. I am wondering if this Sarah Tucker could be a daughter of the above John and Mary Tucker.
I would be please to hear from anyone researching Tuckers in North Somerset.
