My interest is in the descendents of Stephen DODD born 16.05.1756 Simonburn NMB. He married Elspeth ALLEN of Haltwhistle 6.07.1788. Stephen worked as a shepherd at Grindon Mill Hills near Haydon Bridge NMB. He had 7 children William and Elizabeth 1790,Elspeth 1792,Margaret 1794,Thomas 1798, Stephen 1800 and Jane 1802.
Thomas was my gg grandfather he came via Shotley to Heworth DUR in between 1836-1840. His children where Elizabeth 1832, Edward 1834,Robert 1836,Mary 1838, Margaret 1839, and Eliza 1843.Robert was my g grandfather.
He married Mary RUDDICK 17.02.1866.His children where Thomas 1866, William Ruddick 1867, Mary 1869, Robert 1871,John George 1874,Georgina 1877,Edward Septimus 1879,Janetta 1884,Georgina was my grandmother.
I am particularly interested in Thomas ,William and Edward.
Thomas started working life as a cooper and ended as a pioneer of radiography at Newcastle Royal Infirmary, he married Elizabeth ROBSON.Edward married Mary Ellen NEWELL and Robert Jane LOGGIE.
