Researching Temple families of Northumberland, initially from the Elsdon parish area, early 1700's onwards, looking for information that will lead to tracing my G/G/Grandfathers birthplace, siblings and parents.
George Temple, Husbandman, b.1775/6, married at St. Cuthberts church, Elsdon, 31/5/1801 to Isabel Dagleash. On the wedding entry, George was recorded as claiming to be from Camphouse, Jedburgh parish, Scotland.
Also, his possible brother John Temple, a farmer, b. 1764/5, married to a Mary ------ of Camptown, Jedburgh parish, John also claimed to come from Camphouse.
