Searching for ancestors of George (Rev.)Leslie, b. abt. 1750 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne (Methodist minister). His son George (Rev.) Lashley/Leslie b. 1781 in England, d. Jan. 26,1844 in Lanark County, Ontario (emigrated to Canada in 1824 from Glasgow, Scotland.)
Any Lashley researchers know about Lashleys from northern England settling in Barbados in late 1600s or early 1700s?

There was a George LASHLEY baptised March 18th.1750 at Whickham, DUR. Parents: William and Jane and a George LASHLEY baptised Sept.5th.1779 at Whickham, DUR. Parents: George and Catharine.
Whickham is just over the river from Newcastle.
