Ipsen

Hello,
being from Germany and new to genealogy I have recently found out that the brother of my great grandfather emigrated from the island Hooge, Schleswig Holstein, Germany to Newcastle upon Tyne in 1877. His name was Nanning Nemandus Ipsen.
Through the FreeBMD project I found out that he married in Newcastle in June 1883
He probably had three children:
Leonard Lawrence Ipsen, born Dec 1883
Mary Louisa Ipsen, born Mar 1891
Albert Ipsen, Mar 1894
Can anybody of you tell me about relatives? Is anybody else researching Ipsens?
Thank you
Best regards
Andreas

Dear Harry,
thank you very much for these interesting news.
Yes, in fact in the original documents that I have Linnegard Leonhard Ipsen, born 2nd of March 1859 and Nanning Nemandus Ipsen, born 1st of December 1860 were brothers!
Do you have an idea how I should proceed with this information? What is the best way to find out if there are relatives of mine in the UK?
Are you also interested in this family?
Best regards
Andreas

Hello Andreas,
If you wait a couple of weeks, you could look at the 1901 census, which would be on-line and for a small charge, be able to search for your family, who by this time would have had a family.
I don't have any connection with your family.
Harry
