Surtees

I am trying to find the father of John Surtees born 1777 in Winalaton Par Ryton but I'm stuck! His fathers name was Anthony but there were quite a few Anthony Surtees in Ryton and i can't 'go back' any furhter until I've resolved this - it would be great if anyone has any info? Thanks

There was a John SURTEES baptised Nov.10th.1777 at Ryton. Father: Anthony and an Anthony SURTEES baptised July 1750 at Ryton. Father: Thomas.
