I have been trying for about 10 years now to locate information on my late grandfather Douglas Edward Johnson who was born in Edmonton 09/12/1904. I can find nothing before 1927 which is when he joined the border regiment in Carlisle. I have all his army records and his marriage certificate but no trace of anything else which is very frustrating. If anybody could please suggest anything at all to help on this then i would be extremely grateful.
