I am verifying information on my husband's family that has been handed down. I am getting ready to order birth, death and marriage records.
Thanks to the 1881 and 1891 censes being online I have been able to determine correct (hopefully) birth places for people I had not been able to find in the past via the civil registration indexes.
William Bradbury married Martha Gregory 17 May 1846 in the Cathedral, Manchester. I have their marriage record. I would like to know the names of their parents and other children (I only know of one, William, b. 5 Feb 1850).
I would appreciate any advice or suggestions about my searching in Lnacashire. Are there records of births, marriages and deaths in the county or is the General Register's Office the only place to go?
