I'm quite sure we're writing about the same family. I am distantly related to a Daggs family in who emigrated to Canada from London and eventually moved to New York State in the United States. I have a drawing of one Jeremiah Daggs who must have been born in the late 18th or early 19th century. He had a son or grandson named William Knight Daggs who married Ursula Pye in London. The ended up in Upstate New York (Rochester area) and married into the Finlay family. They were a particularly handsome group. I have a copy of an ambrotype which pictures George Henry Daggs, his parents: Ursula (née Pye) Daggs, and his father William Knight Daggs. The photo of the ambrotype is dated 1862. There is an ancient unidentified woman in with the group as well who has to be from a previous generation.
