My wife's mother's grandfather was John Harrison. He was married to Anne M. Harrison. From my mother-in-law's childhood memories, she recalls that her grandfather was from "Nitney Hole" - which I interpret to be "Netton Le Hole".
My mother-in-law's father (William Cherry Harrison) was born on 9 Sept. 1882, just after his parents arrived in the US. So I'm looking for any info about his parents - birthplace, marriage date, immigration info including ship and date, etc.
I realize that I might find some info in the 1881 census. I'll be looking into that in the near future.
