I have been researching my KEENAN family in Cumberland, ENG for some time.
My gr-gr-gr grandparents; Felix and Sarah (McQuoid) Keenan;b. 1814/1809;IRL immigrated to the Dearham area from Co.Down,Ireland about 1850. Their son, John Keenan; b. 1835 was baptized in Kircubbin,Co.Down in 1835. My line eventually settled in the Cockermouth area and my gr-grandparents; John James and Mary (Berry) Keenan;b. 1865;Cumberland, ENG eventually immigrated to the US settling in Rochester NY about 1910.
Some of the other collateral family names include; McKenzie, Berry, Doran, Hogdson.
