Update to my post.
Searching for Thomas Todd born Carlisle 1842 Son William Todd born Carlise 1862 Married (possibly) Catherine Weaver? All in Caldewgate area.
I now think the spouse of William was Catherine Weaver - this has come from a family member. Any info on Weaver would be great - can't find a Catherine Weaver in Carlisle in 1881 census.
