I am looking for information on the parents of William Mayo born 1618 in Alberfeilde, Bershire, England and died about 1713 in Isle of Wight Co., Virginia. He was married to Isabell Hardy who was supposedly born in England in 1620 and died after 1713 in Isle of Wight Co., Virginia.

I also would be interested in what you find out about the parents of William Mayo. My husband is a direct decendant of William Mayo and Isabel Hardy. Please let me know what you find out.

isabel hardy's william appears to have been an only child. I found his father was also named william and was b. in 1603 i east stour, marnhull, dorset, england and was married to katherine nicholls, may 29, 1628. she was b. in 1605 in east stour. his father was named richard b. feb 1569 in east stour, and died 10-22-1627 in lamyett, somerset, england. he married anne butler, b.1570, in 1586. he married joan filliol in 9-17-1604. they had 9 children.
his father was named richard. he was b. abt 1535 in east stour and seems to have married the widow of a brother or cousin. her name was mrs. joane mayo. they had 8 children
both richard's first born were named william.

William Mayo, and Isabel Hardy are in the first generation of my ancestors.
