I am looking for any information on my great grandparents. What I have is John Marchant Davis born 3 Nov 1795 in England; married Jane Duestoe 28, Aug 1817 in Engalnd. Jane Duestoe(uncertain of spelling) was born 28 Nov 1798 in England. Not sure when they came to US. A daughter Sarah born in 1818 in England or US. My grandfather Charles Marchant Davis was born in 1820 in New York. So they must have entered US between 1817 1nd 1820. Some thought that Marchant might have been the surname in England and changed to Davis. Any information on these families would be appreciated or assistance in how I might get more information.
