Our search for our relatives ended in Glenco, Ontario, Canada. We were told that William Eddie who married Elspeth McDonald may have come from Nairn. They had a son John Eddie who was born in Scotland before they came to Canada. We have no dates of birth or marriage. John's son Hugh Eddie was born 6 july, 1850 in Canada.

My ggggrandfather was William, b. abt. 1785 Parish of Croy, Inverness; d.20 July 1853, Ekfird Twp., Middlesex County, Ontario, Canada. He married Elizabeth McDonald, b. 24 April 1788, Urquhart Parish, Inverness County, Scotland; d. June 1855. They had eight children, Janet, b. 1810, Nairn; Hugh, b. 1812, Nairn; John, b.1814, Scotland, William, b. 1814; William, b. 1816,Invernesshire; Alexander, b. 1818, Invernesshire; Jane,b. 1819, Cawdor Parish; James, b. 1821, Inverness, Scotland.
