Hello from Australia
I am looking for assistance in finding information about my GGGGrandparents and my GGGrandparents WEMYSS, William b: 1845 Kinglassie m: EWING, Jane.
Also my GGGreat Aunt Williams sister WEMYSS, Agnes b: 1833 Kinglassie m: 1854 Leslie, HERD, James.
Agnes immigrated to Australia with her husband and child in 1855 aboard the "William Miles"
William immigrated to Australia with his wife and six children in 1887 aboard the "Port Victor"
There does not seem to have been much contact between brother and sister once in Australia, and it is only recently that I discovered that Agnes arrived 32 years prior to Williams arrival. I was wondering if something catastrophic happened in Scotland around the time of Williams departure. I have been unable to ascertain the dates of death for their parents, and/or whether their siblings came to Australia as well, except for James who ended up in Canada. Helen, David and Jane I have no information on other than their births.
Any assistance at all would be appreciated.
