Herkes

So far, I have traced the Herkes family from present day back to 1750 in Edinburgh and Haddington.

I have a Elizabeth Herkes
Elizabeth Herkes. She married John Craise on 6 July 1806 in Haddington East Lothian Scotland. He was the son of Robert Craise and Margaret Ramsey.
Child of Elizabeth Herkes and John Craise is:
i. Robert Craies, born 1808.
I don't know when she died or what happened to Robert Craies.
In 1813 John Craies and Elizabeth Lawson had their first son, so I assume Elizabeth Herkes had died by then.

I have an Isabel Thomson who married an Alexander Herkes on 18th Dec 1803 at Aberlady - but the family are definately from Gladsmuir.
